Everyday Meal
There is something really special about Soul Central- something that goes beyond just good food. it feels like care and intention was thoroughly put into every bite. I ordered the everyday plate with baked chicken - baked mac and cheese and collard greens and i chose the corn bread to go with. Each bite felt like it was made with heart. The chicken was juicy and tender - and sooo much flavor. the kind of chicken that doesnt need to try to hard to be good - it just is. the mac and cheese was rich and baked just right with that golden top and the seasoning was absolutely perfect. Now the collard greens is where the whole meal stood out. No one makes them like my nana...but when i tried theirs..i knew it topped my nanas. They were so deeply flavorful with soul that it just carried the whole meal. Last but not least the cornbread was the perfect amount of sweet and salty and the texture was amazing. If youre looking for a spot to grab some food that reminds you of home - you gotta give them a try. Ive been back 4 times in the past month...to say the least i might just need a running tab with this place. IM ADDICTED.

Everyday Meal
I really like this place. i been in charlotte for 8 months and this is the first place i found that actually can cook good soul food. and i have posted about it all over my facebook and told people about this place. the staff is really nice i eat here almost every other day
